It is now very much a need rather than a “May be” or “Perhaps” or would be “nice to have”.
Here is what you need to do: If you have registered for the Google webmaster account, you will see these updates for your website when you log in to your webmaster account, in case your website is not mobile friendly yet.
You will be able to get more details from the webmaster site itself. In case you do not have a Google webmaster account, please do so at the earliest, it is free.
