Mobile Friendliness is now a Must for every website

We have talked about it before, here is a link to my post in November regarding Website Mobile friendly guidelines from Google but it is official now, Website mobile friendliness is going to be one of the factors in determining how your website ranks in SERPS.

It is now very much a need rather than a “May be” or “Perhaps” or would be “nice to have”.

Here is what you need to do: If you have registered for the Google webmaster account, you will see these updates for your website when you log in to your webmaster account, in case your website is not mobile friendly yet.

You will be able to get more details from the webmaster site itself. In case you do not have a Google webmaster account, please do so at the earliest, it is free.

Google has provided in depth solutions for websites that use third party software and development and technical help for websites that are not using any third party software. You can start by visiting this page on “Creating Mobile friendly sites” from Google:

There are some very useful pointers on “Mobile SEO” best practices from Google that highlight the critical aspects that webmasters need to keep in mind while making changes/updates to their site.

Google will start rolling out the “Mobile friendliness” factor in their ranking algorithm starting April 21st. With just about a month to go, please go ahead and start implementing the mobile friendly guidelines in your website so that your website continues to enjoy unhindered traffic.

The internet has been a great source of interest to me. I have been involved with website promotions and SEO since the late 90s. Those days SEO was not as well-known or wasn't really the top priority for most businesses. The whole SEO concept was still at its nascent stage. It is interesting how SEO has evolved over the past decade. My objective of setting up this website is to share my experiences and help your business attain a higher visibility on the internet.
